🌟 Skills for Life in Action: Explorer Spotlight We have some incredible news to celebrate from our Explorer section! Emily Gibson has recently achieved her Chief Scout’s Platinum Award alongside her Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award—a outstanding demonstration of hard work and leadership.
Emily put her training straight into action by running a brilliant First Aid training session for her fellow Explorers. As a trained Community First Aider with St John Ambulance, her quick thinking was recently put to the test while on a family trip to Edinburgh. After a gentleman suffered a fall in a hotel lobby, Emily stepped in calmly without hesitation to deliver vital medical care for his head and arm injuries. From leading her peers to aiding others in the community, Emily truly embodies the spirit of Scouting. Well done, Emily!
