We are all recovering from a fantastic parade and service yesterday to celebrate St George’s Day and Founders Day.
The parade is the largest in England and was attended by over 2000 Scouts and Guides from all over York. We had a fantastic turnout and were the largest (and smartest) on Parade. Thank you to all our Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Young Leaders and adults for representing our Group so well. Thanks also to the organisers for a great day and a superb advertisement for Scouting in York.
Congratulations too to Matthew Rodway who was chosen to carry the St George’s flag and lead the parade. This was in recognition of Matthew earning his Queen’s Scout Award and to celebrate his recovery from his accident last year. We were all very proud of him!
