Please find below diagrams for badge positions. Click on the images below to enlarge. All members require full uniform including the appropriate sweatshirt\/shirt and official Scout Trousers. All badges, woggles and neckers are provided by the Group on joining. Scouts and Young Leaders also require a Scout belt.<\/p>\n

Uniform can be purchased online at Scout Shops<\/a> , One Stop Scouting<\/a>, Glasgow Scout Shop<\/a>, Scout and Guide Store<\/a>. You may also find uniform on Ebay<\/a>. Local suppliers can be found here<\/a>. We do recycle old uniform and have a limited supply available – please ask your child’s section leader. Please also donate any uniforms that are too small or when they change sections.<\/p>\n

Badges and Awards<\/h2>\n

There are a range of badges and awards available to young people in our sections.<\/p>\n

Activity Badges<\/h3>\n

Many of the badges available are activity badges, which allow Scouts to show their progress in existing pursuits, but also to try all kinds of new things and form new interests.<\/p>\n

Staged Activity Badges<\/h3>\n

Staged Activity Badges are available to young people from Beavers to Explorers, and cover a range of topics and skills. The stages have increasing levels of difficulty, and a Beaver can begin at whichever stage offers them an appropriate level of challenge. <\/p>\n

Challenge Awards<\/h3>\n

Achieving a Challenge Award involves accomplishing a number of more ambitious tasks within the Section or community. <\/p>\n

These Awards support the main themes of the Programme; outdoor and adventure; world and skills.  Scouts take part in a range of activities to develop their skills and understanding in each of the challenge areas. <\/p>\n

Core badges<\/h3>\n

In addition, there are a number of core badges, obtained upon joining or moving on fto the next section, or for time spent in the Scouting movement.<\/p>\n

And the top awards?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Each section has at least one Chief Scout’s Award; ranked bronze, silver, gold, platinum and diamond. <\/p>\n

Many older Scouts also complete the various parts of the Duke of Edinburgh\u2019s Award, or go on an expedition to gain their Explorer Belt.<\/p>\n

The Queen’s Scout Award marks the pinnacle of effort and achievement for Explorer Scouts and Scout Network members. Every year those who’ve recently achieved the award get the opportunity to attend a royal parade at Windsor Castle.<\/p>\n
